Formed in 2021, Olympiad in Informatics Team (OI Team) is all about competitive programming. We explore the vast world of problems solvable by simple yet elegant programs, and appreciate the beauty in the art of coding. Many events are happening within this young team, we organise regular trainings, as well as holding internal contest for teammates to enrich their experience. Our members also participate in external competitions and receive various awards.

A team cannot be formed without its members. We have kept great record of our team members since the establishment of the team to recognise their contribution over the years.

From time to time, there are talented team members that obtain medals in different competitions, including Hong Kong Olympiad in Informatics (HKOI) or La Salle – Pui Ching Programming Challenge (LSPC). Sometimes, our team members can even go one-step further and represent Hong Kong in the International Olympiad in Informatics (IOI) or National Olympiad in Informatics (NOI).

Occasionally, contests are being held on TWGSS Online Judge for students to practice their coding skills in a more practical situation. Some special contests are also held from time to time for different purposes such as Team Formation Test before HKOI, Team Selection Test after Member Recruitment and preparations for external competitions.

To train students’ programming and logical thinking ability, some materials are prepared by student trainers to be used in different events and trainings. Those include PowerPoint slides for C++ Foundation Course, C++ Crash Course, and briefing sessions before external competitions.

Fun and interactive gadgets are created that focus on useful topics. Users can familiarise themselves with those knowledge by using them.
